This application is meant to support governments and the general public make COVID-19 informed decisions related to mobility patterns and the proximity of specific points of interests. Data sources range from Google APIs, Open Street Map, to internal datasets. The Web application is adapted from Todd Schneider.

This preliminary analysis is conducted by SETS Group . SETS Group is not liable for any damages arising from the use of or inability to use this application or any material contained in it, or from any action or decision taken as a result of using the site.

Score

COVREX: index score reflects the average of all the points displayed on the map after spatial and temporal filtering.
Point of Interest Count: reflects the total count of points of interest for the selected spatial filter.

Spatial

City Filter: Select from data for Beirut and Cairo. Future data updates are planned for other cities.
District: Select district of interest in each city, watch for change in hexagon selected on the map in addition to COVREX and POI scores.
Hexagon Radius: Vary the radius of the hexagon depending on your interest in data about a whole area of a city or a neighborhood.
2D & 3D: Change between a 2 dimensional flat fiew, and a 3 dimensional column view.

Temporal

With the COVREX display variable selected, cycle between different Week/Day/Hour of interest.

Display Variable

COVREX: this layer represents a composite index combining Mobility data and point of interest data.
Point of Interest Count: this layer represents point of interest data collected from open street maps.

Points of Interest

Turn on and off checkbox to display location of points of interest like Medical, Food, Transport, Banks and Education. You can hover the mouse over the symbol to get more information about the point of interest.

Data

Data was sourced from Google APIs and Open Street Maps. Data will be updated when possible.
